Welcome to my island!
This is Ivy (she/they), or known as Pengsongmao, currently a Brooklyn-based creative technologist and artist. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, and am pursuing my graduate degree at New York University’s Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP).
My work moves across AI, game engines, and XR. Code, mathematics, and aesthetics are things I deeply love, and bringing them together within my practice is a genuine source of joy for me. I often collaborate as a developer to create interactive experiences. I also play with TouchDesigner, developing visual effects and interactive systems.
In my self-initiated projects, I explore experimental interactive narratives to evoke human desire and empathy within virtual worlds, seeking to capture and convey those subtle moments in life that resist verbal description. I also love to use absurdity as a way of observing the world, deconstructing everyday life with a playful and ironic attitude.
