Welcome to my island!
I am Ivy (she/they), also floating around the internet as Pengsongmao. I am a creative technologist and artist based in Brooklyn, making things at the intersection of AI, game engines, and XR. I started with a background in Artificial Intelligence, and now I am continuing the journey at NYU ITP.
To me, code, mathematics, and aesthetics are not just tools. Bringing them together within my practice is a genuine source of joy. I often collaborate as a developer to build interactive experiences, or play with TouchDesigner to see what kind of visual magic I can conjure up.
In my own practice, things get a bit more intimate and sometimes absurd. I focus on the unspoken things, building interactive narratives shaped by voice, sound, and space. I want to see how desire, memory, and empathy unfold when we put them in virtual environments. I often look at the world through a lens of absurdity, deconstructing everyday life with a smirk and a playful attitude.
